C2G Environmental Consultants is seeking an experienced LEP in the Fairfield county area of Connecticut.C2G has its headquarters in Long Island and expanded operations to the Hudson Valley NY. In the first quarter of 2011, C2G will expand to provide environmental services to the Fairfield county area of Connecticut.

The company seeks an experienced Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional, who will be instrumental in the successful expansion of C2G to the Western Connecticut area.

C2G specializes in providing UST and AST tank removal and installation services, as well as providing a compliment of additional environmental services to residential and commercial clients. The candidate will work closely with management, operations and other C2G staff to clearly define environmental issues, provide engineering analysis and consult with clients and customers on a daily basis.  The LEP must be able to effectively interact with agency representatives to secure permits, meet reporting obligations, and resolve compliance issues.

Responsibilities will include:

• Will be the point contact person for the C2G Ct Division, providing support on a variety of quality compliance, permitting, and engineering needs.
• Will be integrally involved with a variety of other environmental engineering issues (including air, soil, waste, and emergency response).
• Responsible for understanding new environmental regulations and corporate programs; tracking and understanding the business impacts of emerging regulations; and implementing internal compliance procedures.
• Responsible for preparing (or oversight of) environmental permit applications, negotiating with agencies on permit conditions, monitoring compliance, preparing routine reports, and emergency notifications. Works with agencies on routine inspections and action items.
• Prepares and/or reviews incident reports / investigations and makes necessary notifications to Corporate and/or regulatory agencies.
• Supports local emergency response efforts and Incident Command System.
• Responsible for preparing and providing training to operations personnel on remediation, water quality concerns and other environmental issues, as needed.
• Responsible for project management, including the development of requests for bids, technical proposals, work orders, and field supervision of contractors.
• Responsible for participating in C2G audits.
• Represents C2G Connecticut Division at trade association and professional organization

Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelors Required - BS in engineering/geology/environmental Sciences, Connecticut LEP

Preferred Education: Masters in Engineering/Geology/Hydrogeology or Environmental Science, Connecticut LEP

Major Discipline: Connecticut Licensed Environmental professional

Years’ Experience Required: 5+

Travel: 50 to 60%
